Hello Dancers! Hope you had a good reading week and your jump back into the semester hasn't been to crazy! Since I missed last week, I figured I would do a double feature and who better to showcase then the iconic duo, Les Twins! Laurent and Larry Bourgeois are twin brothers who have danced for big names such as Beyoncé, J-Lo, and the two even actually model for Versace.

Born on December 26, 1988 in Sarcelles, France, Laurent and Larry Nicolas Bourgeois professionally known as Les Twins, are French dancers, choreographers, producers, models, designers, and creative directors of their brand "Eleven Paris". The two had been trained in breaking and self taught themselves forms of ballet. Since they had mostly been trained from breaking and watching street dancers, the twins self taught themselves breaking and hip hop at a young age (considering breaking is a watch and learn dance style). Since breakers usually develop a nickname, the pairs' respective nicknames are referred to as "Lil Beast" and "Ca Blaze". In 2005, the brothers recruited five members to form their own dance team called "Criminalz Crew", they spent the next few years competing in hip-hop tournaments and entertaining crowds as street performers and in clubs. By 2007, they danced to sold-out audiences in the musical Pas de Quartier at France’s esteemed Avignon Festival. The self-taught dance duo became the darlings of the French audience in 2008 as finalists on the popular television show Incroyable Talent. After their gain in popularity, the two became even bigger after being main/back up dancers for performers such as Beyonce (On the Run Tour, Coachella), Michael Jackson, Missy Elliot, and are featured in plenty of dance based music videos. They even competed on the first season of World Of Dance and came as the first prize winners, no surprise there! As mentioned in the introduction, the dynamic duo also does modelling and have created a brand of their own known as Eleven Paris. Les Twins are signed with NEXT Model Management in Paris, In 2010, they walked the runway at Paris Fashion Week for the Jean Paul Gaultier Fall 2010 Men’s Collection. Since then they have been featured in numerous web, television, and print advertising campaigns, including for Jay-Z’s viral video campaign "That’s Rocawear", New Era, Benetton, Givenchy, H&M, Adidas, Pioneer Steez, EMOBILE, 25 Magazine, Beats By Dre, and Hewlett-Packard. Today the twins are still dancing, choreographing, modelling and creating, be on the lookout for them, they're taking the dance world by storm!
