Welcome back dancers! Congratulations on making it through the first week of classes! Getting back into things can be difficult, and just know that you are not the only one feeling this way. Take a step back and breath... you should be proud of yourselves!

This academic year we finally step back into what it was like before the pandemic hit. The return to campus has been exciting, nerve-racking, and long-awaited. DSA wants to give our students a chance to create deeper meaningful relationships within our department. That being said...

This Friday, September 16th, DSA we will be hosting our first mixer!

What's a mixer you ask?

Well, let me explain. Mixers are organized events put on by your student association for the Dance department. They are usually themed in terms of back-to-school, Halloween, Christmas, etc. These events allow more communication and growth between individuals of different years in our department. It gives you the chance to meet and talk to others, who you might not see/meet otherwise. There is also food and candy provided at the mixers for everyone to fuel their post dance class appetite. I want to encourage all of you to come and mingle this Friday. Many DSA members have put much effort and planning into our first mixer and would love to meet you all! Please come show your dedication and support for our dance community.

The theme for this mixer is Back to Dance! We encourage you to show off some school spirit by wearing any York, York Dance merch and/or school colors (red!)
